Effects
Profhilo yields immediate results, but the best outcomes typically appear 4-6 weeks after treatment. This is due to Profhilo’s design, which stimulates your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin—an effect that requires time. However, these effects are not permanent, lasting up to 6-9 months. The treatment initially provides a glow, reduces fine lines, and promotes smoother skin.
Number of Sessions and Interval
A complete Profhilo course involves two-three injectable treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. This regimen ensures optimal and long-lasting results, with follow-up sessions recommended every 4-6 months to maintain the benefits.
During the Treatment
Profhilo treatment is straightforward and minimally invasive. It includes injection into specific areas, typically requiring only 10 injection points. The procedure takes about 30 minutes.
Potential Side Effects & Downtime
While side effects are minimal, some individuals may experience temporary symptoms like redness, swelling, minor bruising, or tenderness. These typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours post-treatment.
There is typically no downtime associated with this treatment, allowing you to return to your normal activities right away. However, it’s important to adhere to the aftercare instructions.
Before & Aftercare
Before Treatment
- Avoid Alcohol & Other Blood Thinners for at least 24hrs before treatment
- Avoid Aspirin, Vitamin E, anti-inflammatory drugs such as Motrin, Advil, or Aleve for at
least 5 days prior to treatment. - Try to limit caffeine intake in the 24 hours before your treatment.
- If you take any prescription stimulants, do not take them on the day of treatment.
- If you are being treated on the face, start your Medrol dose pack 3 days before
treatment. - On the morning of your treatment, wash the area to be treated vigorously with
antibacterial soap. - Do not use any lotions, creams, bath oils, or sprays on the areas to be treated.
After Treatment
- No makeup for at least 24 hours.
- Wear SPF 30 or higher every day for at least two weeks.
- Avoid sunbeds, direct heat and swimming pools for 7 days.
- Avoid vigorous exercise for 7 days.
- Avoid facials, dermaplaning, peels, laser treatments and other facial treatments for a minimum of 2 weeks after treatment.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment.
- Keep the area clean and avoid touching it.

This treatment is not suitable for individuals who:
